Residence & Sponsorship of Family

Can anyone provide some input on the process for gaining residence in Qatar?

I lived & worked there in the mid-90's and then it was necessary for the husband to gain residence first and then sponsor his wife and children.

Is the process still the same and if so, how long does it take?

Guidance appreciated.

Thanks.

It was a bit of a nightmare when we did it in the mid-90's. Sounds like Qatar has progressed significantly since then.

the process is still the same, but i think now companies sponsor ladies too and they are able to sponsor their families.

not sure about how long it takes.

medical takes place first

a week later you go for finger printing.

then you apply for the RP.

the process is pretty quick these days.

As my knowledge there is no change. First you have to get resident/work visa stamped. After that you can sponsor your family.
