Recycling Glass Bottles

Does it even exist?  Some expats have rumors about a recycling facility somewhere in Doha, but no one knows where.  I have a large collection of glass bottles, and I am not sure what to do with them.  It is bad enough how many things I must throw away, but glass seems like a bad idea.  I reuse some of them, but I am running out of space!

alharaka - if this were the first time this question had been posted on QL, I think most of us would have been prepared to give the poster the benefit of the doubt but seeing as this is not even the 2nd or 3rd or 4th etc time this question has been posted (and they should have read quidelines to posting, I am sure it mentions about ensuring the question has not been asked before and answered) then you can understand people are just a tad bit cynical.

@rod.b.d.b, Thanks for your help.  I am glad there is the rare occurence someone does *not* post rubbish on QL and I learning something valuable. I am not surprised by the others; I notice the same sarcastic comments from them all the time.  I guess they are busy with important matters like annoying curious QL users.

Good to see the QL tradition of people posting utter rubbish is alive and kicking.

Diwan to Theatre round? Then the park is on your left (Al Bidda) and if it is on the right it is corniche.

Actually, now I think about it, one of the parks opposite the Corniche also has recycling bins in the rear car park. I think it's Al Bidda Park. Traveling North along Majlis al Taawon Street, from the Diwan towards Theatre Roundabout, the car park is on your right.

Sorry I can't be more specific!

Go to Dahl al Hamam Park, near Landmark Mall. There are glass, plastic and aluminium recycling bins in the car park, outside the restaurant. It's where I take all of my stuff.

Look for the possibility of exporting it if you dont want to throw them.

The "richest" country in the world can afford to waste everything, including glass!
