I took my time to study radars.

search for a K Band Radar detector and not (LIZAR) because the LIZAR will Jam the the signal and it's considered a federal low globally. it has the nickname of a military attacker so to speak.

The new Janrah is hidden radars. they are so small you can't even find them after it flashes and I can tell you this because I received 3 tickets driving above 200Km/h and I went back to the same flashing point to look for it but I didn't find it. luckily, I caught one before an exit once so yeah...

the struggle is real guys don't speed lmao.

Their actually Illegal in Doha...but ive seen many people use them. They are ineffective because the radar signal is pointed forwards and would only be detected by the radar detector after your car passes the active radar. They are actually quite annoying because they detect all the automatic door openers on the surrounding buildings more often than a real radar. I say they are a waste because the signal wont be caught until you pass the radar. Just don't speed.

Sure, it is not legal. I do not think it is legal any where. My question to you: is it legal any where?

in answer to some of the other replies, please DO NOT consider your own safety, carry on speeding, in time that'll be one less idiot on the road.

It hasn't been stated on de use of radar detectors in Qatar and der r quite a few number of people who use it on de Al Khor - Doha route. i really dont think u wud need one since the radars tht dey hav put-up r quite large and visible unlike de ones dey hav in Turkiye. De important factor of havin de radar installed is 4 safety... Does it really hurt u, if u drive safely around Qatar?

You don't need a radar detector out here. You just need to now where all the radars are. The dectectors here don't emit an active signal until someone passes it over the legal speed limit. Then the camera takes a picture of your plate.

What's the use of RADAR DETECTOR?

The RADAR is installed to watch the SPEED LIMIT. The SPEED LIMIT is applied for our own SAFETY at certain roads.

Regardless it's legal or not, it's nice to have a gadget to locate a RADAR.

But, if you use it to avoid of getting caught while SPEEDING, then you are just FORGETTING your own SAFETY.

No job is so important that you can not take time to do it safely.

Even the ambulance has a certain speed limit.

Please consider your own SAFETY.

Illegal and does not work most of the time as they keep changing the signal used by Radars. You should always update it's software if you can, or get another one.

Better than getting in trouble, just use built-in radar that you have 'common sense' while driving and you won't get any.
