Can any of our Filipino members advise the price of a 2-3 bed villa in a nice area such as Borocay/Baguio. I liked the place so much on my visit last month that I'm considering settling down there :o)

Bro,

Have you ever heard about "Tagaytay City" it is commonly called "Little Baguio" and the 2nd Summer Capital of the Phils. within easy reach of the Metro Manila. I highly recommend it to you for your reconsideration.

Cheers,

Hi baldrick,

Thanks for liking Philippines to stay...and spend some part of your life there...

On my personal views, much better to settle in Boracay island... I and my filipina wife have a property (small), it such a townhouse only in Katiklan (very near to Bora island), we bought it about 3 years ago..and the price that time is quite good and not so much expensive. but this time it just increased a little bit i think.

If you could found property there that cost around 8 million to 14 million pesos for 120 sq. m. to 160 sq. m...that is reasonable and that is already cheap... and when you converted this price to riyal, it's only around 800 thousand or 1.2 million riyals only... you could afford it...

you can also check those links that other respondents posted on their replies... for more options and choices.

good luck and happy staying in Philippines..see you there one time..hehehehe

Hi! Im glad that you liked Philippines. I would suggest to choose to stay in Boracay instead (personally i would). A fully furnished villa such as this http://www.islandsproperties.com/properties/carlos-paidad/akl-bor-bf-210/index.htm, would cost you about more than 1.5M USD. But there are other great places that you can consider, which are foreigner-friendly places as well. There are also some properties that are jointly owned by a filipino and foreigner and they resell portions of it to other foreigners as well as retirement spots. Ill try and get you some contact details and PM you. :)
