Pet Boarding and kennels?????

Moonbeam
By Moonbeam

My apologies for my long absence from the site; we only just got internet.

I've searched the site but haven't found a concise reply to whether or not there are any boarding kennels here for pets.  Mine are dogs.

Does anyone here know of kennels or petsitters??????

We have had a great deal of difficulty finding a housekeeper that will work part-time with us, so we've decided that a good kennel is the way to go.

 Any advice? Thanx

Pet Sitter Qatar is a great service for all your pets. They are an animal loving western expat family who offer daily visits to your home to care for your pet. They are reasonably priced and offer you daily reports and photo's of your pet while you are away. Contact Angela at Pet Sitter on 77014567.

How much would someone charge to look after a dog for 2-3 weeks? Not as a live in but the dog staying with them? Is 50QR a standard amount and are these people trustworthy? I would provide own food. Could possibly be for 2 dogs but wouldn't be until 2013.

Thanks

Hi!

Did you manage to find anyone to sit your pets for you? We have two dogs and a cat, and need to find a reliable pet sitting service for August/early September. Did you get any results?

Thanks :)

Hello!

Did you manage to find anyone to sit your dogs?

I am travelling in September and was looking for someone to sit mine.

I was wondering if you would be able to help?

Thank you!

QVC near Villagio.. you can call them on 4216405

or you can try Animal Park Vet shop in souq Waqif. Its off on one of the alleys on the small road NEAR the animal souq, not in the animal souq its self.

You are looking at paying between 1000 - 1600 QR, depending on the size you need.

Contact Qatar Pet Relocators, they should be able to help you out. They have always provided good service for me and my dog including the arranging the paperwork and transfers to kennels here.

Hi

I am due to start working at Pampered Pets in a few days as the manager and they are really great. The owners are animal crazy (like me) and they really take care of the visitors staying at PPK.

They might be full for the summer but give them a ring and they will accomodate you if they can.

Good Luck!!

Thanks :) Sounds like Anex lives his life like my dogs :)

I don't know what you're schedule is like, but after my babies arrive (the dogs, not the human kind :) ) maybe we can catch up for coffee sometime.

Until then have a nice Eid, and thanks again.

Ciao

Anex has not yet arrived in Doha, he will probably be here only next year.... When I used to take care of dogs in S A, I was living with dogcrazy housemates, where he still lives, and they took care of him.....

Here, I also have a housemate, so she would take care of him for me..... Never fear... my baby definately won't be neglected..... as long as he gets his walks, food and gets to laze on mom's bed, he thinks he's in 7th heaven....

Yes actually I called Pampered pets and they seemed quite nice. Has anyone here had any experience with them before?

Xena, I'll keep you in mind, thank you. Who cares for your dog whilst you are looking after someone elses?? Just a thought :) I remember reading that you have a GSD?

Anyway thank you all for your help. :)

Qatar Animal Welfare Society is the rescue shelter, it is under threat of closure due to lack of funding.....they are still working on it.

Paws & Claws, sharing the site, is the commercial boarding kennels & cattery and they will remain open.

If you are interested, I used to do house sitting and pet sitting when I lived in S A. I have references if you'd like.

It can be done one of two ways. I can actually stay in your home during the time you are away and look after the animals and secure the house. Or I can go there daily and feed them and walk them if that is required. I usually charge a nominal fee for this kind of service.

If you are interested let me know. I can be mailed on [email protected]

Try Qatar Animal Welfare Society. They are clean and well looked after but they are due to close at the year end. There is also pampered pets I think! Have not been there.

Try this link. www.alwatanyah.com.qa/qatar/set.php Has details on kennels and domestic help.
