Opening small business - Coffe shop

I'm Brazilian and would like to open a Gourmet coffee shop with fine wines in Doha- Qatar.
How expensive is to set up a small company? Is it difficult to obtain a loan?
I've been working in this industry in the Caribbean.

Thanks for all the answers

Maybe a million is a bit too much. But there are tons of coffee shop places in here and people don't go for the taste, they go for the ambience more.. So you need star quality place to make some difference from existing ones. And for God's sake... please get some good Internet connection. At least I will be your regular customer!

It depends how involved you want your Qatari partner to be

option 1 - No involvement at all, just silent partner dedicated to help in paper work or signatures

option 2 - involved lightly

option 3 - Works just like you do.

You need 200,000 riyals just to place in the bank that you can take after so that you can get your company registered.

You need to rent a place suitable for you to get a coffee shop license. Not sure what is your start up cash. But looking at your competitors, you need proper furniture, nice TV screens, good lighting and good music. So, I assume you will need about a million investment money for the first year between paper work, staff, place, etc..

Hard to get a load with that amount.

Ok, I can forget about the wine! But is it difficult to set up business there?

Thanks

With WINE??? I think you have the wrong country, honey! You can't even set up a company here, it must be owned by a Qatari.

You are not allowed to sell wines in Qatar.
