kerala, good that you moved out from your home country KERALA way back in the past..And it's really pleasing to know that you like ABUJA(NIGERIA'S capital)more than your own MOTHER LAND...:P

You better stay in ABUJA..

Soniya,

You cannot compare Abuja with Delhi or Lagos with Mumbai for that matter. In the latter poverty glares at you in the streets not to mention pollution due to overpopulation.

emgee, i second HMS's thoughts for the conditions in NIGERIA...

One of my friend too recently got shifted from NIGERIA to DUBAI due to many reasons..And one was LACK OF SECURITY in that country...You can see few locals loaded with GUNS moving freely out in few areas..It's really difficult to move out of the house once it's too late in the night..

Are you going single or with family.

If with family a big no.

If alone, think about the company.,salary. rotation , etc etc. If salary is 2-3 times better, then have a think.

No guarrenty for security

1 thing is sure . work load will be less. more holidays and strike than here.

HMS was correct. I asked if any had moved FROM Nigeria so I could hope for a first hand reply rather than any speculation etc. I know there are oil co emplyees that have recently arrived to Qatar FROM Nigeria.

HMS- is your friend contactable by email? Would you be willing to put me in direct contact? If so please PM. Thanks.

expat life is very tough in Nigeria, my friend was there and he struggled through out during his stay in that part of the world, no social life, no free movement and lot of security threats. so avoid, again this is my suggestion, please decide on your own.
