Moving to Qatar

hi friends,

we are from india and my hubby is getting transferred to Qatar and we need to start preparing for this ASAP. I need a lot of details on schooling,living and loads more..hve read quite a lot of posts on this forum...but still need more advice..

1)is a salary of around 28k QR decent to live in Qatar.this includes everything.

2)i hve a son who is in jr.kg. rite nw. would want to knw when do admissions start, how difficult it is to get into a school and how much in advance do we need to start applying.

3)what is the life in qatar like,especially for women..

4)are there job opportunities in plenty and are they diverse or restricted to certain domains only..

5)whats the house rent like for a fully furnished 2 BHK.

6)also what are the areas which are recommended for residential purposes..

7)also need inputs on how difficult it is to clear the driving test and how long does it take to gt a license..also islife hell without a vehicle...
