Moving to Doha from Italy, suggestions?

Hello everybody,

Lately I've been given the opportunity to come there in Qatar, Doha, to work as a waiter (Maitre d'Hotel actually) in a new 5 stars hotel.

I'm Italian and I'm 30, could somebody give me any suggestion please, like the salary I'd be supposed to ask according to my position.

Any Italian or european with a quick review of the life and lifestyle in Doha for a european?

I've read loads of things about Doha and Qatar, like any other place many people seems to be really happy and others not, I'm really looking forward to this opportunity and I'd just like to make sure is worth it.

Thank everybody in advance.

Thank you everybody for the comments.

Nomansland I'm just waiting for the salary offer to take a decision, obviously I wont't come there for less then what I'm actually getting here.

But the problem for me is also that this could be a great opportunity for my career, for my curriculum, and even if it should be for only 1 or 2 years, I think i should get it.

it's a fine country, but you should be aware that there are not alot of special places to go to,... its safe, good money, and there's desert and beach most of the time, but if you had your own freinds, gf, family, you will have a good time here.... it depends what you're looking for....welcome man
