Hi all,

I am moving to doha next month, and will have about a couple of weeks to find a permanent place to live.

Is it safe or recommended to go through a few big real estate companies and to what extent can you haggle on price. Is some haggling expected and priced into the quote?

Is it safe to rent directly from a landlord or is it better to rent from a big company?

Any recommended agents? So far it seems the internet isn't too great searching for flats to rent.

Lastly besides west bay, any other areas which are central, with shops, local restaurants but also okay for foreigners to live in? I've heard of daffna?
