Moving to Doha

Hi,

My family and I are scheduled to move to Doha this summer. I have two kids, 2 1/2 years old and 8 months old. What are some things I need to know for the move? Looking to rent a place in West Bay or Lagoons area. Are there any other nice areas to look in? Furnished or unfurnished? How much does leasing an SUV or van run? Are mattress sizes the same in Qatar as in the States? Good schools? And, is there anything in particular that I should stock up on?

Thank you!

Welcome to QL ... most of your questions been discussed many times before. You can do some 'search' with the icon on the top right of this page.

West bay - lagoon is a nice area to live... but it wont be cheap.

If you are an amercian ... the good school would be American School (ASD). Waiting list is long ... so is not easy to get in. I read your post and it is said your kids only 2 1/2 yrs and 16 mths old, so not something major to worry about.
