Lost my license a motnh ago. I went to Hamad branch office of traffic division. It opens as early as 6:30 am too. The lady in the counter gave me the appropriate form (just one), filled it up and pasted one photo. She instructed me to go the Opthalmology section (4f) of Hamad to undergo an eye test. Was quiCk though. No need for appointment. I just told the nurse about it and asked me to wait and lead me to the room. After the eye test, went back to the lady and asked me to pay the fee. Afterwhich, she handed me my new license:)

I think register it with Madinat Khalifa police and put the paper procedure in motion, main thing is that if someome finds it and tries to use it they will not be successful. It's not the money nor the effort it is the loss of personal property that is more damaging - especially if you had credit cards etc. inside. Hope you didn't have much money inside, and perhaps good fortune will turn your way and you will find it again.

This happened to my husband last year. He went to the transport office. There are people based there who charge 150QR to go through the whole process for you and translated etc. Much easier, all he had to do was stand there. Good luck, it's horrible feeling to lose your wallet.
