hi mate,

yes i got the windows done (need permission from the police). looks great, and will make a big difference in the summer.

if you drive the SRT8 you will fall in love with it.

The arcadia is a very nice car. Defnelty the family option, and a smooth ride with a V6.

feel free to drop me a PM if you need any info!

Hey northern lad

Thanks for your informative replies.

Really want this motor, but wife's spotted the Gmc Acadia with its obvious positive points for a family of five!

The Acadia is not a definate though, ill be test driving the srt8 when I get to Doha, and if it's a blast then I'm gonna go for it.

You may hear frm me for some more advice if that's Ok.

Saw one of your posts regarding window tinting, did you find somewhere? And are there any decent sprayers in Doha?

Best wishes

No, my SRT8 costs around Qr62 to fill, which is just over a tenner. It only does around 12mpg, but no real issues with that fuel cost.

let me know if you need any other advice mate

Great advice guys.

Budget is in QR

Will I look daft getting out of a H3? And which of the two has the best re- sale value.

@ Northern lad- surely filling up the srt8 will not be as painful in Qatar?

Look forward to your advice all.

would suggest H3, don't think of H2 as an alternative

These are 2 completely different types of cars.

The Hummer H3 is a relatively slow, but tough 4WD, which will certainly hold up well in an accident, and will be able to cross the dunes with no real issues. (Although the engine is a little underpowered)

The SRT8 is a 420bhp performance 4WD, which is very safe, but will never go off road. Its a handful to drive if you are not used to such power, as it will out accelerate a lot of cars here in Qatar.

The Hummer is a lot cheaper to run in terms of fuel etc. The SRT8 is a 6.1 V8 which drinks gas, and the parts are hard to get hold of, and they are expensive!

However, put your foot down in the Jeep, and you forget all the negatives!

I prefer the jeep, better visibility. Used car re-sale value is abysmal. What currency are you figuring in?
