Import duty on personal possessions
Moving to Qatar very shortly and will probably be bringing over a few boxes of stuff like clothes, books etc.
If I bring in something brand new like a computer and a monitor, I presume I have to pay import duties/taxes etc?
Any idea how much I'll have to pay in % terms?

Hello Sir,Welcome to Doha. If you are bringing your personal stuff to doha, there is no duty. But the cargo should be used items, while at the time of inspecting the cargo by customs authority and if they found there is more new items, then then you have to pay duty, the percent of duty is 5% of invoice value.
