I have a shipping problem

OK, So i have just arrived in Doha on the visit visa. I don't have a job but hope to find one soon. Otherwise i'll leave. But to cut on the cost of moving i shipped some boxes here by sea. Now they have arrived they need a sponsor letter to release them. I don't have that letter. Any ideas of what i should do?

If i had known about this before i would not have shipped it this way but too late now...

Only way i can see is wait until i get a job.

Any Ideas? Is there a way round this sponsorship letter as i am on visit visa?

Thanks dunds.

I now have my boxes! I'm not sure i saved that much money by doing it this way but certainly if i had more it would be worth it. The clearing agent was very helpful and arranged everything including delivery.

Try calling one of the Customs Clearance Agents ... Be patient as most are asians and will find it difficult to catch on to your accent ... You can try this calling 4414709 and ask the operator for the Customs Clearance Division.. . i think they would be able to help you out...

if you are sponsored by someone to get your visit visa, ask the same person to provide you a letter to release the cargo. or you just contact some cargo clearing agent who will be able to find an appropriate solution to release your items from customs. They will find some way to take it out.
