He may run the from the spot for following reason;

He may not have valid driving licence

Car registration may not renewed for long,

even if he repeaired the car illegally then can trap the driver, you cant repair your car with out proper Police report so report to any traffic dept immediately.

It's illegal for him to repair his car without a police report & it's illegal for a garage to accept his car for repairs without a report,although there are still guys who do it,as in anywhere else in the world my friend,your first action,INSTEAD of reporting it on QL,should've been to call the police the moment it happened,reported your location & the plate number...anyways you still can do it,i suggest you do it now...oh & btw,have an answer ready when the officer asks you why you're reporting the incident more than 24 hrs. after it actually happened,because rest assured he will ask you that question...goodluck...

This happened yesterday and I'm afraid he might repair the car quickly so I may be left with no evidence if he denies my allegation. I hope it turns out well, thanks all

Off-course you will have to report this to the police. They will call the second party and this is considered Hit and Run Accident.

Just visit any police station having traffic division and report it. Same happened to me last year. I reported and police called the second party.
