Good Evening Everyone,

I have read all the previous correspondences regarding importing my car to Doha and I got the picture. I have already found a shipping company who would bring my car to Doha. My question is can get my car right away to register with the work permit I have or do I have to wait until my visa is stamped in my passport? My car will arrive 2 days after I arrive in Doha and last thing I want is customs holding my car until my visa is stamped and charge me insane parking fees.

I would appreciate the help.

I believe you can drive your car with your Emirates plates for 3 months...after this you must register it with the Qatar Transportation authorities.

The car can't be old (I think the rule was 10 years so 1999 or 15 (1994))
