How do you pay fees for bridge passing in UAE?

I will drive to UAE. Somebody told me that there are fees for passing bridges between Abu Dhabi and UAE and I will get many traffic fines (QR300 for each violation) for not paying the fees since my car does not have the automatic patment registration. Is that true? If so, what should be done to overcome this problem? Thank you. Regards, Ramazan

GodFather.

There is no fees payable for crossing any bridge between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. However Dubai has a Congestion Charge called Salik, which is applicable to certain highways and Bridges in Dubai. You can but your Salik when you get to Dubai. You can buy it from any Petrol Station and make sure you buy before entry these Salik Areas. Good Luck and Safe Driving

Hi,

you are talking about crossing the highway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai,

If this is the case, you need to buy a SALIK which you will find on the highway side rest restaurents and petrol before reaching them

it's pretty easy to activate it, and even you will find boards on the highway around 30 mins after leaving abudhabi to notify you that you need to buy the Salik and recharge it, along the place/distance where you can buy it..

Enjoy ur time in UAE
