How do I get to Doha from Dammam by car?

I am a Filipino expat in Saudi Arabia and am planning to visit Doha. Can somebody tell me how to get there? Are the roads safe? How about border crossing? What do I need to go through to cross the border? My car is rented but I do have a permit to drive it outside of Saudi Arabia. Thank you very much.

It’s an easy task, travel from Damam to Doha, but u have to follow the road signboard of Saudi which are very good, if you’ll drive the car then I think car should be in your name, no need to bring any thing from Dammam to Doha every thing available in Doha. From Qatar border to Doha city only one road comes (Salwa Road) u can’t go here and there. If you have idea of Dammam,Hofuf then very good.

u must need visit visa of State of Qatar.

Good luck and have a nice journey.

From Dammam you take the road named

Dhahran Al Riyadh Highway No 10

after few km you will reach to Ghunan from there Abqaiq its a straight road you can see it on the map u will reach to an area called As Shamaliyah which is in the City of HOFUF. Now go towards Al Mazru area and from there follow the Al Jamaah Street road going towards DOHA on Highway No 85. When you see the Gulf Sea that is when you are near to doha border and take the Salwa Road to reach Doha safely. ABOUT YOU REQUIREMENTS you should have a valid Saudi Resident Permit Visa and it should not be near expiry as well as you need to have a valid visit visa from Qatar with other documents where you are going to stay. Do not bring any eatables which has pork and no alcohol or some kind of medicine which is banned. Carry all the papers and the registration card for the Car with your Saudi License. Thats it I hope i answered your question. Drive safe below 120 which is the speed limit on highway here in doha and in the city 80 kms.
