How difficult to find a job in Qatar while on a Tourist Visa?

I have a friend who wants to sponsor me for a tourist visa in Qatar and i'm planning to take this chance to look for good opportunities in Qatar. I'm Filipino who is currently working as Admin Assistant/Secretary in a Petrochemical plant in Saudi for more than two years and I think I have enough experience to offer.
My question: is it hard to look for a job with my qualification while on a tourist visa? What is the salary range should i get for most companies in Qatar? Hope to hear anything from you guys...
What would be the requirements to get "Business Tourist Visa". I have a friend who is willing to sponsor me for a tourist visa, am i going to be granted if he is going to apply a "Business Tourist Visa" for me?
My friend is working in Qatar for almost 2yrs already as Civil Engineer and planning to arrange a visa for me soon. Hope to hear from you guys.
My sincere thanks to Sympatico for your valuable info.
Sorry...I worked in Dubai 3 months ago that's why Dubai is still in my mind..lol...Business tourist visa is also one month...renewable each month for a maximum of 3 months (may change periodically, am not 100% sure, but this is the latest experience I have)....and the approval of each renewal depends on the immigration department and your "sponsor" here. Dubai visit visa and Qatar is not the same, in Qatar you need to "exit" before expiring your visa and, as far as i know, it must be in your country of origin (if you don't have any work/sponsor yet) while in Dubai, you can have a multiple "exit" in any neighboring countries (but can deny the visa after 2, 3 or xxx tries )...Your salary, for sure is doubled in Qatar/Dubai compare your salary in KSA...
Sympatico, thanks a lot for your great insights. I'll be coming to Qatar and not Dubai but i think tourist visa status is similar in both countries where Filipinos used to stay and look for a job.
I heard that there is a business tourist visa which you have a longer stay compared to the regular one, how does it differ and can anyone be granted for a "business tourist visa"?
Tourist/Visit visa here is only one month but transferrable if you find employer. Please note that the processing of transfer of visa would take minimum of one week. You need to get a job within 21 days to assure you will not go back home to your country of origin. I also heard that you need to have at least USD 1,500.00 cash money to show in the airport immigration here in Doha (specially Filipino) or a credit card (sometime they will check your credit limit to ensure you can sustain a month stay here in Qatar)... Most of big and good companies here in Qatar do not entertain walk-in applicants, I advice you to apply online and send your resume to all known companies here, they might have an requirements and will give you visa and ticket but be sure you cancel your KSA visa before coming here in Dubai for work. Immigration department might ask you to cancel your KSA visa.
