I have been in the Philippines for three months and I need to contact my friends back in Qatar using the Qtel and Vodafone sim cards. Are these networks have roaming services with the local networks like Globe or Smart in the Philippines? I appreciate any help.
It is far cheaper to use the landline public telephones from anywhere in the Phillipines such as Malls etc. They only cost 17 pesos per minute to Qatar. Even receiving a call from Qatar on your mobile will cost 2.25 QR per minute and making a call will cost 12-16 riyals per minute.
It's cheaper to use VOIP (e.g. Skype) to call Qatar from Philippines or use local service provider. Roaming is just too expensive because you will be charged by both Qtel & the local operator.
you need to have balance in your qtel sim if its Hala. and if postpaid then you need to reach the call center on there international dialing numbers to sort you out
