House for Rent required from September 2nd week 2007

I am coming to Doha during early Sept 2007. I am an Indian and bringing my family and a daughter. I wanted a 2 bed room apartment in an Indian dominating area/ building. After I arrive, I know it would take average 2-3 weeks to obtain a resident permit. Does Resident Permit is required to sign a house agreement with real estate agent/ company / landlord.

I wanted to finalise and occupy a house before I get the Resident Permit. Can we get into some understanding with the real estate persons so that house agreement would be signed after the receipt of Resident Permit(RP) but occupation of house would be done before the receipt of RP.

My affordability for a decent apartment is between 7000 & 8500 per month( can be increased a bit). If any of the Indian families, leaving the country from September 2nd week to October 3rd week or even after that, please let me know. I would make an advance gentlemen arrangement with the family after my arrival to Doha.

I am looking out for a very good hearts who can giving me an opening to find a good house. I hope I will be able to get a decent place and confident about the “Qatarliving.com” website to find a solution.

Someone said getting a good house in a good locality is very very difficult.

You are planning well. I will let you know about any upcoming apartments becoming free. Good luck in your search. I am sure you will find one at the earliest. In reality, as per your choice, Getting house is relatively an easier matter
