I do not see any decrease in house rents in the near future. Perhaps after 6 months. But Qatar and Dubai's economy are far different. Qatar depends on individuals who are very rich and are not looking for day to day business. In Dubai the competition is high. It depends on big companies.

I see no decrease in house rents in the near future. I see there will be many unoccupied accomodations without anyone to inhibit. Qatar has a rich economy and it can live with financial crisis for years.

The rent will remain high unless the greedy undocumented middlemen will be eliminated.

Where place in this world that if you found a place and wanted to rent it you have to pay 50% of one month rent as a Commission.

Whew!!!

Your rent shall probably remain the same until the termination of your current agreement. You can negotiate a better rent at that time. However, until your current agreement is in force. The likelihood of decrsing the rent is minimal. You can try talking to your land lord. GOOD LUCK!!!
