Hi Guys new to the site, I have been reading lots of info from here, so decided what the hec and Id like to join in.
Im relocating to Doha on the 7th July, I have a job accommo all in place but i wonder what is it like for meeting new people, also daft question but i like photography and intend to bring my camera, are the any culture difference's I should be aware of

Welcome to Doha Jason. Hope you enjoy it here. It's a great idea to bring your camera as there are some great places to photograph. I guess the only thing to watch out for would be the ladies in abaya just dont photograph them. other than that you'll get some great shots :)I'm also into photography and there is a photography group on QL that you can join. As for meeting new ppl, QL is a good place to make new friends.

im looking forward to it (heat also i think ) although i have been advised the office is air conditioned. I like nothing better than getting out and about with my lens especially of an evening after work, (hopefully cooler then haha) have done a bit of research and it looks like and up and coming place to be, i was just concerned not knowing the religion or religious buildings etc of what i can and cant take (photo wise)
i have also started hittin the sunbeds to build a base so i dont lobster

secondly, im into photography and yeah u can bring yur camera, it would be fun photo-shooting in qatar,cuz if u didnt bring yur cam u will get bored as it is the only thing u can do for fun.

Not into photography myself so cant be of much help to you, but there is one QLer who goes by the ID "baldrik2dogs"..he, I understand is much into it....look out for him, hopefully he would be of help... cheers!!!
