Has anything changed with regards to US Driving License

Hi
I read some posts that US Driving license holders cannot get a Qatari license without an exam. Is this stance the same in 2010 or has changed.

Second, is there no way to get a temporary license during the time my Residence Permit is being worked on ?

The Policy was changed last year for a short period...but it can be swapped with the Qatari Driving License now.

You can get a Temporary License from the Traffic Department.
