Moving to Doha in a month's time. Was checking the varisous classified for Rentals and was wondering what is included in a "Fully Furnished House" It seems, most of the Ads for for fully furnished houses why would one go for these anyways...??

"Fully furnished" means paying more for furniture you would never have choose yourself :-)

"Semi-furnished(with AC)" and "Unfurnished (no AC)" means being ready to spend weeks trying to find furniture (still very limited market choice) and then weeks selling them when you leave :-)

If you have a small family, renting unfurnished can become a good deal cheaper, as "furnished" flats often cost a lot extra, and you would soon find that you have paid the equivalent of the furniture several times over.

Also consider that the maintenance service included with furnished apartments can often be slow or almost non-existent. It's not easy to pick a flat in Doha. You need to ask colleagues for good advice before deciding. Good luck.

If the apartment is new and small there is no place to put yours. Cooking aware in the kitchen is not inlcuded.

Fully furnished means the flat comes with all furnishing like A/C, beds, cupboards, table, chairs, fridge, Cooking range, washing machine etc... semi- furnished means only the kitchen is furnished and A/C provided. The rest is the tenant's... Unfurnished means flat with bare walls... If someone already has furnitures he will usually prefer to have an unfurnished flat... Also many others prefer to furnish the house in their own way... However some will go for the fully furnished flats to avoid the responsibility of buying any furniture... Hope you have an idea now...

All the best...
