Guys i need your help on this one. I will be arriving to Doha at the last week of december where i will be staying at a hotel for two weeks until i find an appartment. The thing is that i know that adha iscoming and as i heard the country will be closed for a week, so my question is would i be able to find an appartment in such a time or all brokers and agencies will be closed and by the time they open and will be leaving the hotel. is it easy to find a good place to live or i need more time which i dont think they are willing to give ince it costs a lot to stay a t a hotel in doha. waiting for response, cheers

It was the same with me when I arrived and apartments were much harder to find then. Be careful of brokers though. They have had had a very easy time of it over the last two years with massive demand and a fairly limited supply. It looks now that the supply will be higher once the ganes are over next week.

In my experience, the brokers didn't return calls and didn't always keep appointments. In the end I dealt directly with a landlord. This was a better option as I was able to negotiate better terms and if anything goes wrong, I can call up him directly.

See how you go and if you like I will give you my landlord's number and you can deal with him directly.

Brokers or agents are working all the time and it wont be hard to find a good apartment if your budget is good enough.
