Farm in Qatar
I am wondering if there is any farm in Qatar providing vegetables and fruits for local demand. Or all of them are imported from overseas. Most of the vegetables in Carrefour, for example, are from outside qatar, like US, or UAE,or Kuwait,etc.
Anyone knows the vegetable growing in Qatar?

Most the farms I know don't sell to the public but to catering companies. Qatar doesn't have large scale farms as yet. Water is expensive and hard to come by.
Try the vegetables market... I think most of the production there is local (or from nearby)...

The farm is called Rakhiya Farm and the govt had ambitious plan to increase the production capacity.At present its unable to cope with the demand.

Can you please give directions to the Shananya farm and what are the opening hours? I have been wanting to go there for over a year but do not know the way.
Hard Skin Tomatoes....Red and Bright....are produced in Qatar.
Eggs too are produce of Qatar in Poultry farms.....Eggs of Qatar are Cholesterol free or so the doctors say!!!
most of the vegetables are local produce some from Saudia. Be there early in the morning, they wind up their
sale at 11am
alot of farms in Qatar and only few of them send supply to market not all of them
