Have Valid Indian DL, Indian International DL, Republic of Congo DL, and all required documents. Company is in the process of issuing me a vehicle, but need to have the DL...and offer is good only until coming THURSDAY, 17 March. Can anyone assist,and at what cost :)
I get different opinion from my colleagues, some says I can get license in one day if I have valid Indian licenseo by taking a direct test. Some says that I need to take class even though I am an expert in driving.

I simply secure an eye test from my company Medical center and apply for driving licensure test. They schedule me after a week for Sign Board test, Parking and Driving test at the same day and I did it well. Same day i got my Driving License. That's way back 2008 November.
By the way before the test i asked somebody to teach the technique in parking test. That time Parking Test are little bit tricky unlike today.

@ Zuzo: In UAE, if one has his/her country license, we get opportunity for ONE Direct ROAD TEST. If you pass that, you get your license...if not, then you gotta start with the 3 Parking Tests, clear them, then Road Test. Of course, before everything, you got to enroll for the Theory. Now, if you use some influence, you can get through during that FIRST Direct Road Test. Driving School enrollment was not mandatory -if one had Driving License from one's own country (The Theory Training, with Signals Test, from Emirates Driving School, was mandatory). I expected the same system, here. (:
minimum 10/15 days you have to learn driving at any driving school though you have the license of other country. then you will have 4 tests- signal, l test, pocket parking test and road test.

You need less than an hour to have your Qatar driving license if you have a valid GCC license..;)
there is a direct test.. but you wont get it in 4 days. they will give you the schedule.
be realistic and mature, dont be childish in asking these type of questions....
four tests: signal test,L,parking,road test.
There is no such way.minimum 15 days required to get a test.and then it depends on the mood of the police man to clear u or not for test.
