I want to ask how much does a doctor with a fellowship (e.g. FCPS) with 03 years post-fellowship experience get paid averagely and what benefits does he get alongwith the salary ?

hmm...lets see how it goes...btw am from pak, not india...but i guess that doesn't matter bcz what i understand from discussions on this forum & others is that both indians & pakistanis get paid the same in middle east, which is less than their european counterparts.

Oh he is from India, thought he was from Canada, US, Oz, Europe... or have been educated and completed fellowship there. If not, sorry my friend. Don't expect huge salaries like the western counterparts. There is a reason, and my answer is "inadequate"! Sorry but this is the harsh reality, Qatar is harsh and it affects us all!

Whoever is telling you you can earn 30 or 40k per month is deluded. I know someone who is reputable surgeon back home and was offered 14k here in the military hospital plus free accommodation. He rejected the offer because he is already making a similar amount back home. Only doctors at Sidra get those inflated salaries but these are very talented doctors from Canada, Australia and the US. If you can prove yourself better than them then you would get more than 30k

I find most doctors here in major hospitals to be inadequate in their knowledge. They just prescribe tons of medicine and antibiotics. I hope you are not one of those doctors, if not welcome to Qatar, we need you. You should be paid 40K at least!

This is an example from the UK. Doctors there (at least some specialties) seem to be very well paid. This may be explains why there is not many of them in Qatar. They are very expensive to hire :)

If you do a Google search, you are more likely to find information about doctors salaries in the UK or US than Qatar. Take them as a starting example and then you can estimate how much the salary would be in Qatar

I have no idea about titles. What I am saying is that usually it starts from 10k. I am pretty sure it starts from less than that in some centers where nurses are paid 2.5k a month. In your situation why don't you check salaries in the UK and then based on that you can guess how much you are worth? You will be offered more or less the UK salary but without taxes and possibly with free accommodation. And depending on your title here, you might get a slightly higher salary than your UK peers.

A fellow is a specialist in a particular field Parvaiz e.g. ENT specialist or eye specialist etc......a person becomes a fellow after further 4 or 5 years of training in a speciality after MBBS/MD & that too after passing the exit exam of that specialty....thats why i think its not possible for a fellow with 03 years post fellowship experience to be offered just 10 K !

It's all about supply and demand. People are stepping over each other to come to Qatar and the companies know this

Just 10 K ??!! .... i'm talking abt a fellow, not a fresh graduate from medical school/college !

It starts from 10k upwards. 3 years experience is nothing so you should expect your salary to be in the fresh-grad to junior bracket. Small private health centres do not pay very well but the government and Sidra pay excellent salaries.

Another strange and daft question... It all depends on specialisation. Whether he/she works for a private or government entity and where he/she studied / worked previously.
