Do you know how long the points stay in your license?

I was informed the points will stay in your license for 1 year. How about if you get 3 points in January, then you get another 3 in June, will this 6 points stay until June next year or the 3 points will be expired in January then the other 3 will be expired in June? Appreciate your advice.

Every point get erase after one year, e.g, Jan points in Jan 2010 and June points in June 2010.
