Do the Traffic Violations Points get removed if you don't commit violations for a certain period of time?
Under the present traffic violations point system it seems that even a careful driver could have the license suspended after 5 violations spread over a period of two to three years. Do the points accumulate forever? Or Does the system remove the points if you don't commit violations for a certain period of time?
It seems like there should be a way for the points to be removed from your record if you don't commit any violations!! Can any one direct me to a sure response on this? Thanks
bsafm69, who told u all this S$$$$t.
The points gets removed after a year as the law says the earlier points in one's account would be removed if that person did not commit any traffic violation during one year from the time his license was revoked.
But if you completed 14 points in a particular year then the they record them for action...untill you dont exceed the limit of points in year which are first year: 14, Second year: 12, Third year:10 and Fourth year: 8 points.
Ultimately, a driving license may be cancelled if the same offender earned six points for the fifth time. And in this case, a new driving licence shall be issued only after he passed a new driving test.
Bsafm you are WRONG....
Law says if "Points will be removed if there is no other violation in one year". But I still have 6 black points for a traffic violation I committed 2 years back..
The points are supposed be to removed after one year. However, the system is new and we shall have to wait and see if it actually happens or not.
