To do list for emigrating

Hi,

I'm due to be emigrating to Doha in April and I'm trying to list all the things that I need to do before I arrive and all the essentials that I'll need to bring with me for when I get there?

I believe I've got most things sorted but just wondering what people can suggest so that I don't miss any of the small things out.

I've got things like cancelling bills and packing the correct clothes etc but looking for specific things like do I need to bring passport photos? Do I need I contact HMRC or any other government agency and anything other people may think I wouldn't have normally thought about

Thanks in advance

Not necessarily blue background. I think blue background is needed when applying/renewing for passports. :)

You may need these for your residence id, drivers license if you are planning to drive on the crazy roads of Qatar, health card and so on......

Bring lots of passport photos, find a way of paying your bills at home from overseas, get/keep a UK credit card, make sure your passport and driver's license are current and get Skype!
