There is a lot of confusion in residents amoung this question. What happen when we go back to UAE later when we surrender UAE license to qatar. Please explain this situation for my personal information.
No, You dont need to surrender ur UAE DL. Just fill the form, make eye test , they will see ur orignal UAE DL return u back . Same time they will issue you Qatar DL.
I believe that you will have to pass driving test in order to get license.. your non-Qatari driving license will not help you to get a Qatari license without driving test
Question itself is confusing, if u are relocating from UAE to Qatar, u can show the driving licence to traffic department and they will issue new Driving licence.
No! I "exchanged" my Sharjah license earlier this year but did not have to surrender it i.e. I now have both. I have heard rumours though that different rules apply for different UAE Emirates. Not sure if that is true.
