There is no Duty for Personnel effect import to Qatar. But make sure that you have to mention it as "used personnel effect" and prepare a performa invoice instead of commercial invoice.
For the amount you spend on the freight you will get new things here as it is floded with chinese stuff and also your family must be getting bored to see the same stuff again in a new place :)
As far as I am aware of - No. If yes, the custom duty rate is 5%.
