CONFUSED REGARDING SCHOOL

Hi...

I just came to Qatar from India a week back..I have two boys..Younger is 4 years old and 9 years old..We are staying in Al Hilal area.My office is in Airport Road whereas my husbands in Madinat Khalifa..My elder son got admission in Barwa Village - SHANTINIKETAN SCHOOL..He had completed his first term in India and he had written tests both in MES and Shantiniketan..My younger son was denied admission in MES as his base was not good in India..What the teachers taught there was completely different from the syllabus which is being taught here..In MES A-Z is taught along with 1 - 10 whereas shantiniketan where he is being given an admission with undertaking have finished big and small letters A - Z and numbers upto 20..Now since our elder got in Shantiniketan we did prefer same for the younger one..But now am confused after hearing their syllabus bcoz my son learned only A - F and numbers 1-6 in India...How is it possible to catch up with the syllabus here in Shaniniketan..It will be a great problem for himOn top of all this finacially problems......Since we both are working it is impossible for us to check on him. Most importantly since my husband is working without pay and I have joined only a week back salary is out of question now..We stay in a sharing villa and it will be due next month for rent as my husband took the house a month back...We have spent already enough on credit cards to set up our hosue which need the basic things..So all this has confused us and I want to know which is the best suggestion for my younger child..Where should I enroll him..If in nursery will they take him on what basis...Also it should be economical..He is a very shy and stubborn child and is not fluent in English as you all can understand how indian schools in india can be..

My confusion is over finally over...A Big thank u to each one of u...Ur valuable words wer more precious to me than my relatives...thnks.We hv talkd to the principal @ Shantiniketan n tey hv agreed...Both of them r joining the school by Sunday...Tey even helped us to pay the fees later on after a month..Anyways I did like the idea of putting them in Noble but the fees r high at the moment n we hv to pay immediately..So v chose Shanitniketan as tey more cooperate.. THank u one n all

Common...No big deal in teaching alphabets to kids.Just talk with the principal in Shanthinikethan and get him admission there. The principal there is really a nice person.I know him personally. What to gotta do is that, just talk and make him understand your situation. And you must find some time for your kids.If you dont have time at all just ask your elder son to teach the young alphabets and numbers. It will take no longer than a week.Good luck!

No problem with the young on whose age is 4, anyhow he will cope up....but take care of elder on who is 9. As a parent you have to create base knowldge for them.
