Car export from Qatar to UAE

I'm leaving Qatar & moving on to UAE. My question is with regards to exporting my car from Qatar & importing it to UAE. I'll be driving the car from Doha through the Saudi borders & into UAE. I've done all the papers required:
- have UAE employment visa
- got the export plates for the car
- got the temporarily qatar car insurance
- got the export vehicle certificate
- got the customs fees paid certificate from my car company stating that the customs fees are paid so that I don't have to pay them again in UAE (heard it's a GCC deal)

My question is: do I need to certify any of these papers from the ministry of whatever? especially the customs fees certificate. Or if there's anything I'm still missing please help me out on it!!

thanks alot...

hi,this question was asked in 2008 but i think this will help someone who is still searching for car export answers. I have recently exported my car from Qatar to UAE by http://www.cartowingdubai.comYou need following docs to export to UAE1. Export certificate from the traffic department2. if car is less than 2 years old: you need to get Makasa (customs statistical report from customs in Doha03. Power of attorney for the transport/shipping company, attested by Justice department in Doha, which is near to the City CenterCost depends on shipping company. But i was satisfied with these guys.

Hi there,

I'm also trying to export a car to UAE.

Up to now I only got the customs fees paid certificate from the car-dealer.

Can you tell me from where you got the other docs like temp. car insurance, export vehicle certificate and the Export plates.

Thanks in advance

Perfect answer !! 100%

I've checked, and it turned out to be the last & only thing I need to do. I've done it already in Doha Port.

Appreciate your help.

you have to get the clearence ofthe vehicle (customs) fromthe port it enterd in doha. it is known as makasa( statstical clearing)

fo this you have to get the copy of custom entry and duty recipt. this can be get from the shope you bought the car.

when you are planing to moove . your docs are valied untill 10 days only.
