Can a temporary driving license be renewed and converted to permanent?

Hello Folks,
I used to work in Qatar 3 years ago and had a temporary driving license which I obtained after passing the proper driving test. Since I was staying there on Business Visit Visa, they issued me a temporary driving license which used to renew every 3 months. I still have that license with me (but obviously it's expired). Now I am again going to move to Qatar on permanent basis with QP. Can anyone tell me if I can get that previous license converted to a permanent? OR I will have to go through that painful procedure of driving classes and then test again?

Yeaaaaaaaaaah BUDDY...

U can convert it to a PERMANENT one even though its expired...

Just need to go to MUROOR, with ur expired license...

U must have a letter from ur sponsor (QP)

Pay 250 as the renewal charge... and thatz it...

There goes a SHINIG NEW DRIVING LICENSE in ur POCKET... LOL...
