can i file case against my landloard
i was leaving in a separate portion of villa since past 1 year under a real estate , but my contract is for 1 year and it is to finish by end of next month last week i was informed by the company that my rent will be reviced and increassed by another 10 percent upon renewal of my contract, i called them and requested to keep the rent as same for me then i am willing to continue. but the reply i got was very harsh and they told me if i dont want to continue i will have to give them 1 month notice as per the contract and leave else they will not refund my security deposit. this made me furious and i checked my contract and found the same that if i need to vacate i will have to give one month notice else i am not eligibe to claim my security deposite back ,
however my remaining cheques will be returned but of no use since they have got only one more rental cheque of mine, however i started looking for accomadations and though i found ending up paying more i have decided to leave this people because of their attitude but i am not able to find anything which can be starting after february in this regards 30 days notice period is giving me tough time . please if anyone of you know what to do at such a situation let me know what can i do to get my security deposite without 30 days notice period

Thats the way things work out here, forget abt security deposit.
there are few men's hostels .. for executives and professionals...
you can rent 1 for couple of months until you find permanent residence
That the goverment doesn't do what?
Mate, I am confused now
that might have been the case with your friend but i just saw my neighbour 1 month notice to vacate and they endedup paying additional cheque for one monthe with the revised rent since his salary was paid via the bank and same is my situation
the one mistake i made is i signed the contract with this bugger thinking that my rents will to be increased next year i never knew the ren will go up after a year but strange that goverment dosent intreven and increase my notice period to 60 days intsead of 30 days
I know a girl who didn't pay rent for 21/2 years. My friend tried to negotiate to get rid of her for 6 months. After filing a law suit it took 2 years to kick her OUT! Till today they haven't recovered a dime. She might have bad credit from the bounced checks.
there was this couple who went against the landloard and lost the security deposit because of this tricky contract and also they made all of us sign additional letter which state the same at the time of signing the contract , and the worst case is thee in another new tenat who came inplace of the previous couple and end up paying 150 riyals more for the same accomadation and because of this the landloard is making all of us pay extra from out next contarct renewal onwards
u cant file case against landlord.
The 10% increase applies regardless The Company’s failure to give a timely notice. You’re wasting your time and your money by taking them to court. cuz in the end they will win you will lose not only the case but also every penny they spent on it 'd be charged to your already swollen bill. So be wise and jut walk out now while there still is some sunshine and before it's too late.
there was another couple who stayed in the ground floor they also had this same argument with landloard and they ended up loosing there deposite because of this tricky contract as they made all of us sign an additional letter at the time of making contract agreeing to the above conditions and the worst part is the new pople who came downstairs ended up paying 150 riyals extra than the previous couple and because of this the company is increassing the rent for all of us
Ppl should read their contracts before singing it. Did you read yours? I doubt that you did.
No you cannot get it back if you fail to give your notice in due time and as per the contract terms and conditions of tenancy and evacuation.
but if i give them 30 days notice period i will haveto leave after 30 days and i am not being able to find any decent accomadation for my budget within so less days fo something like i am staying now it is atleast 500 riyal more now plus theese agents who ask me for commision, i am an common man i just dont understand if my landloard was happy withme last year with same rent why cant he be like that to me atleast for another one more year my company wont increase my allownce every year, why does my landlord have to compare my accomadation with what he is renting out now and increase my rent
Let the real estate company take you to court! They probably will only recover damages to the property so make sure you take pictures and a video before you vacate the premises. They have to give you timely notice in order to raise your rent. Qatar law is similar to the US and GB. There is a gray area because your lease is over. Therefore, if you stay an additional month, you have to agree to the terms.
This happens a lot, they would raise to their existing tenants but for the new ones they will sure offer the old rates.
Leave the premises and if they still want to execute that stupid "one month" rule then take it to the rental agreements disputes committee located at Al Muntazah.
The contract may say whatever they want, but they should not take any money beyond the contract's expiration date.
No you cannot get.
as per the contract a am not eligible to get my security deposit if i dont give them 30 days notice period
what i want to know is that wether i can get my security deposit back without 30 days notice period even though it is in the contract
