Yes sl is correct...

For a new car its 3 steps.

1. Visit Showroom

Check out the car - Choose the color available, Bargain a little, Fill form, give your salary certificate.

2. Wait for loan confirmation from the bank. Usually 2 days time.

3. Visit Showroom - Bank Oks Form, you sign form.

4. Wait for car arrival at showroom (1 week to 3 mths depending on model - Toyotas have a longest waiting time).

5. Visit showroom to pick the key.

You dont get Receipt for car sale. All you get is a Quotation letter (stating the cost of your car).

If you buy a QR70,000 Car you pay QR10,000 extra over a Period of 3yrs.

The ordeal must be for buying a second hand car from a person.

I would recommend Mitsubhi Nativa 4x4 full option QR 88,000. go to Salwa road show room. Al ahli Bank has a perment guy there (interest rate 3.99% per annum). He will explain you the procedure. you don't even have to go the bank. After 2 days drive yor brand new car straight away from the show room. easy as a piece of cake.

as to what car you want. Go to the dealers. They will take care of the procedures and guide you through!

May the roof above us never fall in, and may the friends below never fall out!

You can get good used 4x4s for around 70K, Mitsubishi Nativa is a hot deal, cause it's a good value for money and you might get a 2 year old model wtill under warranty. If you look between 50 and 60 K you might get all others like Pathfinders, Nativas, Landcruisers. the Problem here is, that these are older models without warranty!

If getting a used one, make sure the owner is not arabic, because in most cases the car si not in good shape (Sorry fellows, but that's the way it mostly is!). Get it checked in one of the shops on Slawa road for 300QRS. Within 30 minutes they tell you what is wrong with the car and if there are any repairs to be done!

I recommend a 4x4, because it helps you on the old roads you will get known to the potholes! As you are in Bahrain, you might as well be interested in offroad driving!

Most of the banks are ready to give you loan according to your repayment status...

But you should have proper documents with you..
