ya, i did notice some pics of the new look mitsubishi outlander....must say it looks much better compared to the toyota rav4 or the nissan x-trail. a friend at the dealers told me that the fully loaded would only cost about 100k. amazing deal i think if u also consider the good service that mitsubishi is known for.

I don't buy into the bullying argument. If you drive aggresively/wisely enough, this will make other drivers to respect you. I have both a 4WD and a saloon car and notice this time and time again. This applies to other cars. I've seen little City or Lancer or Tiida's bully other drivers in R/A, etc.

Because you'll get bullied on the road.

I'm a proud Outlander owner, and a fan of these cars. Don't forget to consider their purchase. Outlander is a Mits version of Nissan's X-Trail in terms of size, power, etc. Now new ones are QR80,000. Since they are less established than Toyota/Nissan, they are a risk. If you like to be unique and feel special, this car is for you.

if u consider resale value most important then go in for a 2nd hand car thats in mint condition - best bought from approved used car dealers, coz on these a first hit of depreciation allows u to pick a car almost brand new for like 10% below showroom price.

to answer ure question about depreciation on cars, usually how u calcualte is 10-15% max depreciation for toyotas & nissans. But u must also consider factors like change is shape or design/options in newer models of the same car.

Also if some car hasn't really hit it off well in the market there r naturally less takers for it when u try to sell it off. i think the new pathfinder is one such. compared to it the older one is so much more in demand!!

Nissan x- trail and murano and Safari and pathfinder they will get you back a good price

as for Toyota Rav4 and land cruiser they too will get you a nice price after selling them after 2 years, depends upon use of vehicle how nicely u use it.

Go for Toyota SUV or Nissan they sure have market even after 10years and will get you a good price then. Going for American you sure will lose on that one. I had one American SUV and it all ended up in a scarpyard just for few thousands.
