Why are all the flats here for filipinas or Indians only? There are more nationalities here than these 2 that can live in peace and harmony and pay rent on time. Are there any here and near the airport. Please advise.

To Mr. Fool is or foolish or whatever:

Honestly I will tell the truth ,, ask any wise and straight person in here about this, all philipinas and philipinos they smile like fish and sea food even 100 KM far from them you can smile that , they are short . without nose , don’t look to me like normal people ,, but anyway that was to let you know that I am married and I don’t have girlfriend especially from PH,,

But you know as most of people I had a Philippians housemaids almost 3 and all of them stole from my house and run away with Seri Lankan or Indian boyfriends the most cheap and funny that they stole my son’s Game boy and some drinks from the fridge and some change of money.. So this is my problem,, wish your littlie brain understood that.

As mentioned by others this question has been asked and answered many times (please do a search).

If an Indian or Filipino are holding a flat or two it is up to them whom they will accommodate in those flat/flats. Nobody can insist to accommodate any other Nationalities as it is their own personal matter. There will be plenty of flats available now for which you should pay a higher rent (please go through the classifieds) and those flats which are occupied by Indians or Filipinos will be cheaper ones as many of them are low paid people (even if they are skilled). Let the Indians and Filipinos live in their flats.

And answering your question 4_real, most of the ads are addressed to filipinos or Indians simply because these group of people are honest, very accomodating and have a sense of obligation. Unlike other nationalities which I am not going to enumerate for my sake...lol

And shouldn't you 4_real, be knowing the answer since your a local as far as your profile say so?

I say get REAL!!!

In fairness to all Filipinos and Indians, not all of expats here are fortunate to have a very high salary like I assume most of these poeple(???)who have answered this question previously. They try to settle in this part of the world where they can afford a decent house to live in. Many of these unfortunate expats are skilled but most of them are also exploited and under paid.

Silly of me 'coz I can't locate in the map where is this western british pakistan that you are claiming...???

And cockroaches are pest and needs to be terminated and some house cleaning should be done in order to eliminate 'em. And changing accomodation is not a solution if you have a cockroach problem.

I totally understand where your comming from Im a Western British Pakistani easy going and well turned out. And as I was going through the adds I realised that there were a lot of adds for filopinos and Indians no disrespect to them but the moment I read these two words I realised that the standards would not be to my liking. Im having problems too so i can see how hard it is to get a decent clean place.

The sad thing is that we have to pay through the roof to have a certain set standard of living. The very thought of not having a decent place is worrying me no end. One side theres the perfect place and on the flip side its the sky high prices how are we to manage?

You can check from the Gulf Times, or you can place an ad for yourself in the morning papers that will clearly indicate that you are looking for a place that is NOT for Filipino or Indian.

Although is a very good question I don't think qatarliving is the right place to post it, lol.

Since I moved to Qatar five years ago I had the same frustrating question, they even hang up on me because I wasn't phillipino or indian. Until I went to check why its all for them and I find out is just because they have their own ways and living habits. With not offence to anyone as I can feel many will want to reply to this msg, as for me I just cannot live like they do.

P.S: I recommend you to not just call go and check and you will see you are not missing any good deal.

My company provide me with accomodation and placed me in one appartment at old airport area, months later I had to make new arrangements and ask for accomodation allowance (cash) so that I can choose where to live as the building was full of Cockroaches.
