Since barwa is going to allot new flats at a cheaper rates, there is a chance that the rent might come down, but definetly not like the one that prevailed before the Asian Games.

i am currently on the search for accomodation for my family. i think there is no chance that the rents will go down any soon. those bloodsucking real eastate agents and greedy landlords are the main culprits. it doesn't make any economic sense at all.

presumbaly the landlords used borrowed money to construct the houses, with the rental that they are charging they can finished paying the banks within 3 years!! you can't get it anywhere in the world (save for GCC) unless you are like Donald Trump. Fantastic investment for them at the expense of we poor people!!

I guess house rent pricing would depend upon the law of supply and demand!

No hopes !

One thing I noticed, big sharks of real estate have multi-full page advertisements in Newspapers for the apartments they hold.

If a half of this is made available to the middle income group, i guess most of housing issues in Qatar would be solved.

No chance to come down,,because many of the companies are coming to Qatar open the branches because it is booming.

My company had several Villa's contract renew and they all went up in price the maximum allowed.

I do not believe with $150 Oil that rents will be going down any time soon.

Good luck!

Sorry Buddy,

No such thing,

The best one can expect ( Dream of ) is

Rents staying as they are now...

Sorry to put your hopes down,

With the building boom going on, it would take a long time for any effect to reach the rental market. Supply will have to first surpass demand.

There is no reason for the Rents to Drop so you have to dream on.
