You can feel u are in India only, lot of Indian families around, market is open until midnight, no worries, even in midnight a female can go and shop alone,

Yes stduio (f/f) you will get for rent,

Local guys are good and cooperative.

Thanks HMS...your comment is very informative. Initially I will move there without family, so would be more interested in studio appt (f/f) are they available (rent?). What time the social clubs, markets close at night? Are there Indian restaurants available? How are the local Wakra guys?

Thanks again

1. 2 BR fully furnished apartment - 5000 QR per month ( Pay for 12 months and stay for 18 months, means 1 year contract six months free)

2. if u are planning to buy Toyota corolla or Nissa tida or similar kind of vehicle, - 20000-30000 QR.

3. A family of 4 ( 2 + 2 kids) - 3000QR per month simple decent spending life.

4. Yes available.

5. Yes very much safe for late evenings for ladies as well.

6. Not mandatory to use abaya, they can wear anything like in India moderately.

7. No night life in Wakra, u can go to beaches, parks and hotsl for dinners that all.

If u need any more information u can write to me, and i am also living in Wakra.

Hi to everyone on this forum, I am new to this forum and have been visiting & reading the comments here for a while now which have been very informative and helpful to me.

I am an Indian doctor, presently living in Mumbai and will soon be shifting to Wakra for a job assignment. I need your valuable info on the following:

1. How much may be the rental for a studio appt. / 2BR / 3BR appt in wakra (fully/semi/non furnished)?

2. What may be the cost of a used good condition car?

3. what may be the cost of living a decent lifestyle?

4. Are the outdoor recreation facilities n services available in wakra e.g. swimming pools, clubs, water sports, English/Hindi movie theatres etc?

5. Is wakra safe for family and ladies in late evenings?

6. Is it mandatory for the ladies to wear Abhayas/Hizaab/nakaab?

7. How is the the late evening & night life in wakra?

Thankyou for reading my message patiently and I look forward for your comments.

Warm regards....Sittuj

Where is the compound located? And does it have a website that I can review some photos?

I am moving to Qatar in December, and was looking for a villa in a safe compound, prefferably unfurnished.

Khanan - Now the situation has been changed with New Traffic light system. Simply they give priority to doha bound traffic all the way form Wakra.

Wakra to Doha is faster than Midmac R/A to National :)

Traffic jams are history now on Wakra to Doha

Khanan - The managent baned the public dispaly of shoes outside the apartments. Very good rule. Some of them are thinking that they are still living in shanties.

I want to buy a gift for Mr.Yassar for this rule :)

Wakra compound is managed directly by the Owner and they do not like the Agents.

The Manager of the Compond is Mr.Yassar and his mobile no. is 584 6832

The apartments in Wakara Ezdan compond is finished. if you see the ads those are from crooked Agents.

The rental is QR 7000 for a F/F 2 BR apartment and QR 13,000 for a 4BR villa.

Binus - 1st two months stay is free as a commpliment from the Management :)

Don't listen to Speed's half baked truth. He ha s a habbit of jumping the gun without the knowledge of the Target. it happens to him all the While :)

I live in Wakra and you are going to be my nabour soon. I think your compay rented about 30 apartments Ezdan Compound. This apartment is the best in Qatar for that price. It is a really nice place.

Check with QLers - ksarat,Winn, Bakamuna, Tigasan, Murali,Jinx etc etc. for more information.

"is it very far for a daily course ?"

I work in Al Rayyan Road next to Diwan Amiri (after Bank Stor Grand Hamad Street)and take me 26 minutes from my apartment to reach my office in the morning (Total 16.5km)

For you - You can take the right turn at The toyota Signal towards corniche and reach City Centre in 30 minutes (total from your house to city centre)

"how much aprox. is the electricity and water ?"

Still free of Charge until they set up individual meters.

is the salary of 10.000 good to live with ?

Yes good.

Above comments are based on assumption that you are going to live in Ezdan Compond.

Contact me if you want more details. BTW I leave my apartment at 7.30am to reach my office at 8.00am
