Hi we'd like to view the Al Messilah compound and if possible, we'd rather not go through a real estate agent. Does anyone have the tel. no. of the compound management please? Thanks.

Just a correction on pachy pachy's comment regarding property inquiries here in qatar living. Voicing out wrong information about things that you have no knowledge is not good specially regarding real estate agents and compound management. First of all you can check all the clients every single one of them who went through agent in al messilah that all deals that were done are issued with invoices and receipts with stamp on it. 2nd thing is agent who charges clients for finders fee are being informed before showing them, and the most important thing is don't drag any compound managers name or reputation regarding dealing with people specially you your self haven't experienced any service provided by such compound or management. I also want to point out that "Al Messillah compound and management never ask for a deposit or agent charges.

This is for every body's information so please watch out for people that are roaming around and pretending something that they are not to get money from others.

Thanks so much for the details and info, Pachy Pachy. I will ring them shortly. I know there are other newer, nicer compounds out there but they are too far out for us.

The number is 4874337. They have few vacant there. Its a 30yr old compound. They've got duplex and single storey villas. Duplex are not that great and the single storey is ok. The compound has a good feel with the greenary but apart from that...nothing is that great about it. Villas are kind of old.

The management office has a very bad attitude. They have a take it or leave it attitude. Ask for the guy who calls himself the compound manager.

They have a strange kind of payment terms...12 rent cheques which is common...the deposit is asked from only a few tenats...and they would recommend to go thru their known realestate agent (I do not want to name them here)to avoid this deposit but the realestate agent charges 7500 as his service fee. I would rather pay the deposit which is refundable than paying 7500 service fee to the agent which is not refundable. Its kind of fishy..you will feel it when you speak to him...making some quick bug along with the agent??

The rent for single storey is 15000/- and Duplex is 16000/-.

Overall.....the compound has got very good greenary, club house is just average, Gym is outdated, Pool is good size, No lights in any bedrooms as we need to use table lamps.

I hope I have answered your quiery in detail. Sorry for the long note. If you have the same budget why dont you try the new NBK Villas next to Al Fardan 4 which is 13500/- p.m. New compound with 2 masters, 2 guest + Maids, great club house and pool and gym area, seperate spa for ladies and gents. Its very close to DMBS, Doha College, American School and Park House.

I am not an agent but its just that I just finished my research in finding a new house for me and have got the details for over 18 compounds.

Good day.
