AL-Khebra Driving School, Not recommended

By marbut77

I was in Al-khebra driving school, The driving school was bad and try only to take benefit from the student..

My company provide me with 40 hours driving class and normally there are 5 chances for driving test, but for me I got only one chance. so Alkhebra told to my company that i need one more driving course 40 hours.. stupid alkhebra. bad money..

my one year finished and all 4 tests failed. i am not sure to go to this school or change the school. the crowd for the admission is big, and i will definetly not recommend this school... which i will elaborate later with more details about their business policy and passing skills.

i start my class in al khebra since June 2014 as a short term(12 days) course, i lost my two classes (road practice) because of my learning license was expired and it takes time to renew(approx. on month) then i admit to my first test through Al Khebra and failed, again i request them one more chance they told me go directly to traffic and pay 50 QR and take test again, result is failed again, then i took another date and paid more than 150 riyals and all test i paid for al khebra 200 QR as their car rent for test, finally today my third test also failed, the funniest thing is not that,... since i join this driving school to till appr. one year and one month, imagine! to get a license too difficult now...in sha Allah. I will try my best to get my driving license, May Allah accept our deeds and make us in the right path, aameen

Dear Mary,

Hope your are doing will. Thanks for the valuable information sharing regarding driving lessons and tests.

I have following inquiries, that i hope you can help me.

1. I had joined for full course and i got passed inside 3 tests (Signal and parkings) at first attempt, but unfortunately I failed all 4 attempts in Road. How can i proceed for 5th chance?

2. Can I opt to automatic gear for my 5th road test? (All previous tests were with manual transmission gear)

3. If I took a short course at school for further tests, can I opt automatic? Shall I exempted from inside tests since i passed them already with first course?

I appreciate your prompt reply.

Thanks and Regards

Hello,

The short course is for 12 days, do u have driver's license in your home country?

Fee: Training : QR 1350

For transport, you can discuss it with the Supervisor in Charge for the details as we don't have bus passing exactly in Al Wakra only in nearby places.

By mary.khebra• 12 May 2012 09:30
mary.khebra

Just look for Mr. Alfred, the Supervisor and raise the issue to him.

With the very hot climate and the cars running all through-out ther day, it is expected that there will be problems to be encountered esp. with the car a/c's. I'll be in touch with my staff to raise the issue with the supervisors.

There are many factors y the students failed:

- students are really not yet ready for the road (not confident with their driving )

- very strict police

One of the greatest factor for the students is their confidence in their driving. No matter how hard the instructor tried to teach the students if they are not confident and are nervous in driving, we cant do anything with it. This is what we noticed with the students who took test for more that once. Secondly, Traffic Department police who conducts the test are very strict. Our school has no control with their decision.

I guess, students should not always blame the school for their failures.

About your other complaints,I would suggest that u complain and raise the issue to our HR Department. My staff will attend to all the complaints on my absence.

hi, im a student in al khebra, had a bad experience with them. And never ever suggest anyone to join in this driving school.

1.the school driving passing rates are very poor.

2.inferior customer service. Some staff in front office are not even willing to listen the inquiry of the student, always pointing out each other staff to respond.

3. booking exam date is not in payment date. There are arranging students in their own way with some favouritism .

4.even they will confirm the name in the exam list a day before the exam..

I am an Accountant by profession and i heard you need to apply in traffic dep't for you to have the automatic driving lesson. what is the chance that i could have it based on my profession? any advice that you can give me based on the status infos. i provided? advice me also for all other necessaries. for your response, kindly email me at [email protected]

You can register to the School that you prefer for the next training with the new set of requirements since I assume that most of your documents are already expired as the validity of most docs. are good for 1 year only.

For our School, once you registered we will give you a letter that you can present to your previous school so you can get all your papers back and submit it to us for Traffic Department reference as they already have the record on their system and they will ask for it.

Thank you for raising this issue and we are working on it but I would like to inform you that it is not possible to to apply for your learning license permit at the Traffic Department on the day 1st day of your training.

The actual case, once you pay and registered the person in charge will immediately submit all the documents to the Traffic Department for the application of your learning licese permit. It should be applied ahead, you cannot have the training without it.

The revised policy, we will apply for your learning license permit at least a week - 10 days before you start with your training since there are some cases that we give earlier training date once there is available slot for the time preferred by the students.

I just noticed that the training cards validity is only good for 90 days. And counting of days will start the day after you enrolled in the school although you have to wait at least 25-45 days before you can start your theory and practical training.

I think this is not new to you any more since when I went to the cashier and asked them regarding this they inform me that there are already lot of complaints regarding this.

I think and I will suggest that it is better if that 90 days will only start the day after the student attended their class.

The processing part of the ordeal was actually the worst side, as the repeated run-around for same-dated documentation for almost everything (which is impossible given that most important places needed do not have the same open hours).  If a document wasn't given a stamp with the same date as the documents, and something with the current date stamp, then all documents get rejected and you waste another 1-3 trips going back across the city again.  It is not understandable how photos taken on a different date, or vision test also on a different date, would matter to anyone as long as they were current.  Yet we found this was not so here.  It is sad that this form of run-around has come to be expected of all business dealings here in Doha, so sad.We also experienced the same rudeness from many of the male staff at AK, including several greedy instructors and their supervisor.  Though we expected this from talking to graduates of the various driving schools, as it appears to be city-wide. Again, something we expected.  Though what made my husband angry was that two of the instructors stopped giving actual instruction/criticism when I refused to pay them graft money or 'loan' them same.We did complain to two supervisors and desk staff, yet they fell on uncaring ears and told that we could go elsewhere, that other schools would only give us one last test and we would have to pay extra for my driving scores to take to another school.Light side of my personal experience:  Finally after speaking to a very understanding upper-level staff Qatari and the head Qatari of the Traffic Department at the school, my hubby got me a class with a great Filipina woman instructor.  After even the first day with her I knew I had a real instructor, and the following weeks of instruction led to confident passing of the driving test.  I won't say that everyone's experience will be similar, aside from the expected graft and run-arounds, this school is actually not as bad as others people close to me have attended. Also I would recommend women taking courses here, but expect a lot of frustration and bitterness in the paperwork processes along with the joys and exhilaration of learning to drive on these crazy streets (with crazier people).

What package you would recommend if Im not having my country driver's license but have been driving for about 12 yrs?Would short courses be allowed? And also,my pataka has expired already since June 6,2011 but I still have a 3-month grace period in order for it to be replaced/renewed until Sep. 6,2011. Is it still possible for me to get a driving license? Please need ur reply immediately so that I could arrange everything now and maybe I can drop by to your office tomorrow. Thanks a lot.

I am glad that u passed the test , Congratulations! Drive Safely!

I already spoke with the Supervisor and passed on your message, our apology... but sometimes we have to be understanding and considerate, they have been working in the field all day, not to mention that they are exposed to the heat of the sun and been dealing with different types of people, different personalities.... but still I admit, it is not an excuse.

Thank you for the recommendation.

I passed the test today and it was my first attempt at it.  As I said before, I can't agree with the member who started this thread but I do appreciate that everyone has a different experience and our experiences impact on our opinions. My being a holder of a driver's licence for several years is one contributing factor to me passing the test on the first go but preparing for the test involved me having to unlearn some bad habits and adapting to the rules of driving in Qatar, so that was a bit of a challenge. Of the 70 women who took the test at Al Khebra today only 25 passed.  I must say, thank God the traffic officers conducting the examinations executed their duties professionally, and impartially. As for the criticism of Al Kebra taking advantage of students, I didn't find that the Theory Tutor (Isaac) or my Instructor (Kenneth) were trying to take advantage of me. Both repeatedly gave me good tips to improve my driving and to pass the test.  If you listen, learn and apply what you learn you will pass.I pride myself in giving credit where it is due and you can see from my previous posts I will strongly criticise.  I don't know what the other driving schools here are like but I was very satisfied with Al Khebra and I WOULD RECOMMEND THE DRIVING SCHOOL and I still suggest that someone speak to that INSOLENT, ILL MANNERED supervisor in the cabin, he is a real turn off.

By adonica• 18 Jul 2011 19:26
adonica

I didn't ask because the guy at the counter was unequivocal in conveying to me that if I did the short driving course I will only have one chance not the two the traffic department gave me.I started the course. So far so good. I am a bit concerned that my instructor has told me I will fail the test if I don't put the car in park and apply the hand brake when I am at an intersection controlled by traffic lights and the light is red.  Everyone else I have asked told me their instructors only told them to keep their foot on the brake. Who knows what is the true position?P.S. Having started the course I can't say I have any problem with the school.  The theory classes were quite informative and the tutor, Issac, is very helpful and accomodating. With the exception of the VERY ILL-MANNERED Phillipino Supervisor who signs the card before I go driving, the staff is quite polite and helpful ... so far.  Someone in Management should really speak to that Supervisor about his attitude. Whenever you tell him good afternoon or evening he NEVER answers.  He just drags your card signs it and shoves it back to you.  I have also observed that he is just as rude and disrespectful to the instructors.  I assume he must own the place why he can afford to be so rude to students.

I will pass the message to them .

I admit that we failed to inform you about it but did u care also to ask?

I would like to explain what happened by giving an example. In selling a particular product, the sales person usually tells the interested party the basic information that the buyer needs. Like selling cars, usually it is the brand, model, price, manufacturer...other specifications/details are discussed when the buyer asked for it. Same thing in your case, if we missed to explain some info. my apology but actually this is not a big issue. Should you have other queries, please let me know and i am willing to assist you personally.

About the CD i will discuss it with the IT in charge ...

Just a friendly advice, "pls. think positive and hope for the best". :)

Thank you for your response.I guess you guys will need to educate your employees because at no time did they tell me the possibility existed that I could re-take the test. The CD issued by Al Khebra is quite useful.  I wish more people paid attention to the principles.  One thing you may want to do is have the relevant person amend the Round-a-bout (U-turn) section of your cd.  A driving school should never distribute a cd to "learner drivers" demonstrating the car mounting the curb and spinning while going around a round-about.  I'm now apprehensive about the training I will receive but hopeful the instruction manual and cd are not indicative of the actual instruction process.  Thankfully, I was taught the rules of the road elsewhere.

Hi,

I am good , thanks. say my regards to ur friend and pls. tell him that i appreciate his recommendation :).

Regarding your concern for changing of sponsor, actually you will not have a problem with it since now, there is no sponsor approval requirement for driving license application. You can register with us with ur old id and when the time comes that u already have the new id from ur new sponsor u can submit it to us and change it fr the old one.

For the transport, we have free transport going to that area. Once you guys registered i will refer u to our supervisor in charge of the transport so u can arrange it with him.

About the timing, our training hours is fr 7:30am - 12:30 pm and 3pm - 10 pm. but there will be some changes during the ramadan : from 7am straight to 11 pm only 5pm-6pm break. I will keep u posted.

Can u please give me ur email add so i can give u the complete details.

Should u have other queries, pls. don't hesitate to contact us.

Regards,

Mary Ann

Thank you for raising your observations.

I am sorry if you encounter some hassles during the registration but I am not in the position to make any comment on that as I haven't verified it with my colleagues yet but for sure I will discuss it with them.

Regarding the Traffic Department and test chances. I would like to inform you that the School has no control over the Traffic Department. What happened to your case is that you were given 2 test chances by them should you wish to take direct test. Since you prefer to take the short course, our School is giving you 1 test chance for that (for the test chances given by the Schools, you can verify it with other schools as all schools were given uniform # of test chances allowed for the student). I understand, you got the idea for the # of test chances from the form given at the Reception. At the form, it states there that for the short course THE SCHOOL will allow you to take 1 TEST CHANCE ONLY . If you failed on the 1st test, YOU WILL BE GIVEN ANOTHER 2 TEST CHANCES from the TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT.

To discuss further, all the schools are given a specific number of test chances for different courses offered and it is the discretion of the Traffic Department to give additional test chances to the students should they fail on the test.

About the driver's manual, I also raised same concern to the Management. Actually when the handbook was made most employees at the Management are Arabic and they are not very particular with the grammar or spelling. This is not only happening in our school but to other companies as well. Anyway, a new handy manual were printed and this will be released soon.

I recently went to Al Khebra to sign up. I have had a driver's licence for years but decided to do a few hours of driving school before doing the driving test because of the lunancy I have seen on the roads in Qatar. I haven't started the classes as yet but I made a few observations during my visit to Al Khebra.

1. THE NUMBER SYSTEM

You are required to take a number and wait your turn. Yet as I waited patiently for my number to be reached several persons Qataris and Indians just went straight to the counter ahead of me (without taking a number) and had their business dealt with without the person at the counter directing them to take a number and wait.

2. RED TAPE/ RUN AROUND - A WASTE OF PEOPLE'S TIME

When it was time for my number to be dealt with (according to the electronic gadget) I went to the counter. I was made to stand there for are good 2-3 minutes waiting to be acknowledged. When I was finally acknowledged by the gentleman at the counter he completed the paperwork. I told him I wished to be picked up and he pointed to a chart on the counter for me to indicate my zone. I did so. The gentleman made a note on the paperwork and then directed me to a lady for me to make my payment. I had no problem so far. When I went to the lady to pay. I had to tell her I wished to be picked up. (I thought it odd because the information was right in front of her.) By this time the gentleman had moved from his position. The "Cashier" then directed me to a lady who was walking around the customer service area looking busy because (listen to this now) that lady had to look at the same paper on the counter

with me in order to determine my zone for pick up and that lady had to tell both of us the zone before the cashier could do anything. I then had to wait for the cashier to complete a transaction she started after sending me to the other end of the counter. I was a little baffled at the waste of human resources. Why wasn't a copy of the paper with the zones printed and given to the cashier??? Is it a form of job creation??

3. NUMBER OF TESTS

I am new to this country and I accept things are done differently. Maybe there is a good explanation for this but I can't understand the logic. The traffic department gave me a paper stating I had TWO chances to take the the test. It appears Al Khebra has power to over rule the Traffic Department. The more classes you pay Al Khebra for is the more chances they give you to take the test. Because I opted to do the least number of driving classes Al Khebra reduced my chances by one. If I had paid for more classes I would have been entitled to up to 4 classes!! I think that is outrageous and should be examined by the Traffic Department and is no different from bribery. I say this because, the more I pay the driving school the more chances I have to take the test?!!!??? Something is not right about that. If there must be a limit to the number of times one can take the test the Traffic Department should stipulate the number of times everyone is permitted to take the test within a specific time frame. Like applying for a US visa. One should not be deprived of chances to take the test simply because you pay for less lessons. Why limit the number of chances? Both the government and the driving schools would earn more revenue if there was no limit on the number of chances you get to take the test. Think about it, people who are determined to have a driver's licence would pay the necessary fees to take the test.

4. THE DRIVER'S MANUAL

The manual is a good idea BUT ... The English is atrocious!!! Someone fluent in English should have been employed to vet it before it was printed. It is embarrassing for a company like Al Khebra to be distributing that. It definitely will confuse persons whose first language is not English. As an English speaker trying to learn Qatar's road rules Al Khebra may as well have printed it in Arabic because I don't understand most of what they are trying to say. I would personally offer my service to rewrite the manual ... at a cost of course.

I would love to hear Al Kehbra's explanation for observation 3. Wish me luck with the lessons and the test.

i enrolled at this school and passed the first time I took the test(Thank God!)..My instructor was very very patient in teaching me..He taught me almost all, if not all, of the things i should know about driving...

by the way, the theory thing helps me a lot..the handbook and CD, too!:D

the money thing, i did not encounter with my instructor..it may exist...but I believe not only in this school but in ALL schools...all I know is u have choices..make your move! :D

I am not sure where u got the information about the test result though i can verify i as i will be reporting soon. Its my 1st time to know that the number of failures are that high ...

I cant make any comment also about the roundabout thing as I do not know the real story but it's really very weird that instructors doesn't know that students who are taking test might have been tested in the roundabout. It is the discretion of the traffic dept. police to take the students where ever he likes during the test and mostly they had it on the roundabouts. So all instructors are aware of it and driving at the roundabout is part of their training. All students are also given CD's for their visuals and roundabout driving technique is also included.

Anyway, thank you for the info. i will discuss this with the person concern to help us improve our services.

Well, someone need to assist this. Last Thursday driving test, there are 40 students for testing only 5 passed! Gosh! Does it shows that the police was sooo mean or the teaching process are not good?

One student said that he was tested in the round about and his instructor didn't teach him the right driving technique. He failed!

He said the instructor answered that, "He's not expecting that the student will be tested in round about". Duh..?!

Just curious cos I'm scouting for a driving school. I'm planning to enroll. But I'm considering Al Khebra so I gathered information.

Good Evening!

Thank you for your suggestions but pardon me, Sir I think you should know all the details 1st before making any comments as I understand you are also a professional, am i right?

As per the case of Mr. Marbut, we have a SPECIAL Memorandum of Agreement) between his company & our school about training of their employees with us. Everything are stated there & it is the responsibility of their company to explain to them every details. If u noticed I highlighted the word SPECIAL , coz our company deal with them as per their specifications/conditions and I guess it was not properly explained to their staff. For your information, it is the company who pay for their training & im sure no company will allow themselves to be cheated.

mae-ann, I don't feel bad of what you said. actually you don't need to correct me because i knew that driving school and traffic are different institution.

What I'm trying to say that, student's standing to his instructor will affect his chance of getting DL the earlier he wants it. Let say that, if the instructor will not advise that the student is qualified for the test, how can a traffic police conduct him a test if no recommendation from your side?

Now, the students opt to give "gift" to instructors just to get the favor of his instructor and provice him good teaching and driving technique and immediate recommendation for driving test.

I hope you get what i mean.

By gtim• 7 Apr 2011 10:45

Yes, i understand that they are separate institution but the recommendations will come from the instructor. Therefore, if a student "smells good" to the instructor he will get a highly recommendation.

No offense mae-ann, I sense how you cared for your company, but this is the reality. Well, if you can do something for a change, then fine.

By anonymous• 7 Apr 2011 10:19

Having lower salary is not an excuse for any form of wrongdoings or cheating ... i would also like to inform u also that the school and traffic department is different institution. Our school is a private institution and traffic department is a government. So nobody can influenced the traffic dept. to fail u on the test. Even the School Manager can't influenced them.

Maybe, this is a norm in every driving school. It does not occur only in Al Khebra but in other school also. Instructor's salary is very small so they resort to take money from students as extra income.

Filing a complain in the management is the right way if the student is not there anymore. Otherwise it will jeopardize their schooling, such as delayed recommendation for driving test, failed Driving test, and worst of it is failure to get a Driving License.

So, to avoid these inconveniences, the student will "just go with the flow".

By anonymous• 7 Apr 2011 04:51

Thank you for letting us know about your complaints but i dont think that this is not the right place to raise the issues. I would suggest that you directly email your complaints to our Management ([email protected]) to take some actions in case you wanted to change your instructors.

Since I am on my vacation, I will ask them to conduct a meeting to all instructors about the complaints and issue a more strict policy or worst termination for those who will be proven doing such act.

Another advice to anyone, please don't tolerate any wrongdoings like these, complain if you encounter such. "Noone will be cheated, if we will not let ourselves be cheated."

On our part, this issue was already brought up and again I will email them for the follow up.

Umm....the observation of Mr. Adam Mclean is the same with my husband.. that's what he told me. To add to his observation, according to one of your employee there, it's the technique of the instructors to take money from the students. They seems to be not enthusiastic in teaching the students, not unless they receive money as gift from the students.

Mae-ann, I hope your management can do something about these corrupt drivers.

I would like to emphasize also that it is not right to generalized things. In every companies there are erring employees. I am really sorry for the bad experience you had with our instructor. I suggest that it would be better if you will file complaint against your instructor, you need some action, right?

Regarding the memo, all instructors are aware that we have a policy about all the things u mentioned. Anyway, i will inform them about ur complaint.

I wish that I can attend to ur problem personally but currently i am on my vacation right now, all I can do is to relay ur mssg.

If you want u can send me private mssg. and tell me your instructor's name n other details so I can resolve ur problem.

In every company, there are erring employees, if u will not cooperate how can we discipline them. So, i need ur help for that. Rest assured that ur identity will be disclosed.

TO ALKHEBRA MANAGEMENT

Here is some points that i observed during practical test driving!I will not mentioned my car # for me & his identity.

1.The trainer is keep on phoning his obviously girlfriend.

* How he can teach me well like that?He should focus on us.

2. When i made mistakes he is mad at me.Remember that i'm a customer to deserved good teaching & proper training.Consider that we have the same race.

*(i'm a student like a new born baby)

Meann -

1) just to let you know the rest room is still pathetic.

2) This is what i observed. after the test results, the instructor is busy with his mobile and asking everyone 'have you cleared the tests ?' if the answer is Yes. immediately the car is stopped.. asked the student to be inside the car and the instructor meet the person who cleared the test and demanding money.

and am surpirsed to hear this from each all the instructors (irrespective of their nationality) .. 'dont forget your instructor'..

But at AL KHEBRA everybody was very cooperating and I could get my licence because of that only

Very good school - at least it was when I was a student in 2008

Hi Ms Meann,

Thanks for a lot of useful information. I have been in Doha for over a month now and completed all my residence formalities.

The next process is to get a driving license. I have shortlisted Karwa and AlKhebra and would be happy to join your school if pick up and drop service is provided to Al Dafna area, near the Corniche.

I have an Indian Driving license and have over 4 years of driving experience in my home country. Please send me a detailed email about the following as I have not been successful in getting through to your customer care on Phone. I know there is an interactive voice response system but have never made it to the customer care personnel despite trying for the past one week.

1. How do I get my Indian license validated and enroll for 12 class course?

2. Do I have to attend theory classes as well

3. What are the fees for a 12 class course and how many tets are included in this

4. Do you have facilities for eye test etc.

5. When can I start my classes?

6. If all goes well, how many days wil it take to get a license.

Please send in your response asap to [email protected].

Many thanks.

- NOC validity is 1 year after the date of issuance so it would still valid after your vacation.

- You cannot take the Direct test after you had the training and failed. It should be direct test 1st, then if you fail then that's the time you can decide to register for the training.

Nothing we can do to make it earlier since you only have limited time now ... the only help I can give you is to monitor the scheduling program & check if there will be available instructor on your preferred time but it will also take time.

Anyway, i'll try my best to help you, for free ...no additional charges.

Hi!

Thanx for the reply.

I am expecting my monthly family visit w.e.f. 17.10.10, hence the deadline. I had already taken the NOC Letter from Company, dt.07.10.10; if I decide to commence the Training on 22.11.10, would this same NOC Letter be valid, or would I need to get a Fresh one issued?

Although I am confident over my driving abilities, I'd still rather take the 12-Days Training, then take the direct driving test (is this OK?), and in the worst case, surely I will have some extra chances?!

Is there any other way to hasten the process...the cost doesn't matter, but do mention it. Regards.

Hi Ms Hernandez

I hold a valid Indian Driving License, a valid Indian International Driving License, and a valid Republic of Congo Driving License. I have just received the relevant documents from my Company as required for Driving License procedures.

In my opinion, I may be able to pass the Test within a 5-Days Refresher Course; presuming I am eligible for a Direct Road Test. However, I need to get my License as early as 16 October 2010.

A reasonable additional cost for the urgency does not matter; but is it possible to complete everything within this period thru Al Khebra? Also, I would require pick-up and drop-off from Al Handasa Compound (Nearby Crazy Signal) in Najma. Timings would be AnyTime after 05:30PM.

Your assistance is appreciated.

Sorry to hear about the hassle.

Our School is a private institution & Traffic Department is a government. It so happen that they are inside the School premises. It is the Traffic Department who are responsible for scheduling the test date of the students. By the time you came, there was a test for the ladies and males are not entertained. Test dates for ladies are not fixed, it changes every month.

Should you inform me the exact date when you are coming then definitely I will mentioned to you if they can accommodate you or not.

About the NOC, you shouldn't encounter problem with the dates since the validity of it is 1 year after issuance.

I have just read this now. I went there 3 times in your area just for the registration. The second time...was because it was for the Ladies only. On the third time also, I was denied by the Traffic Department personnel on the desk. His reason was because the stamped date on my NOC letter is not the current date. However, due to my presistence I was able to persuade the other officer to accept my requirements. And, when I registered to your driving school, I was told by the counter that the 5-day refresher course was not available anymore since the previous day. It was good that your Pinay Information Staff helped me obtain what i want - a 5-day refresher course. Thanks to her! By the way, I wasted 150QR transpo on this.

So, my suggestion is please inform your would be applicants also re Traffic Department schedule (for Gents and Ladies) aside from the requirements.

In response to your queries :

- since u have Indian driver's license you can have the following options:

1. take direct test without training

2. take direct test with 5 days refresher course

3. take short course for 12 days

4. take half course for 25 days

Hi,

I am planning to move to Doha in next 2 months.

Could you please me know, the following

a) How fast I can get a driving license

b) Whether having a International Driving License will help. - I am from INDIA ?

Please advice

Thanks

Which Traffic Dept. are you going? Traffic Dept. inside our school opens only in the morning from 7:30-11am ...

Yeah, no need to present the International driver's license ... i will be glad to assist u in case u need my help ... :)

if i m not wrong, the instructor of every driving school says for money, and if dont give them... their behaviour gets rude... i took my driving license from Al-Khebra and i found staff and instructors very cooperative... i must say khebra is leading in the list of driving schools here....

Ma'am only my International Driver's License is expired. But, my Philippine Driver's License is not. With International Driver's License expired, perhaps I will just not present it to them. What do u think?

Hoping to see you there this afternoon after going to Trafic Department.

not all instructors are like that, only some of them... but we should not tolerate things like that by giving in to them, after all, whether we pass the exam or not is not up to them, it is up to the police giving the test.. so if we refuse to give them anything, i don't think they can do anything about it... so don't give in to any instructors asking you for money...

By Alumnar• 7 May 2010 21:28
Alumnar

... then they should be SACKED and sent home anyway. It is different when you pass the test and reward your instructor with a 'gift' to show your appreciation.

What would happen to my husband if he would approach his boss everyday and ask him for money for no reason at all? His salary is stipulated in his contract, that's it! Just like everybody elses!

thanks for support ...

we r really trying our best to resolve some issues ...

about the bashers, yeah they are everywhere, i just don't mind them ...mostly those who failed does it & they blamed it on the school.

To Mr. Xzxjacs, i cant understand how u judged me like that ... u dont even know me ... & btw, my company is not paying me for the Marketing this is voluntary works ... i am concern for everybody, in this way i can relay problems to Management & help them resolve it to serve our customers better ... Drive safely!

I am sorry for my late reply ... r u still interested for the 5 days refresher course? If u do, it would cost you QR 700. ( QR 50 - test fee , QR 100 - car rental fee, QR 550 - for 5 days refresher course - you will be scheduled 1 hour per day for 5 days prior to the date of your test) .

yes Alumnar, will be taking road test soon.. i agree with you on the people getting money from students, if anyone encountered that, they should report it to the school management,.. true there are "rumours" going on about "some" instructors asking money or whatever favours from the students.. i haven't experienced it though as my instructor is nice and have never asked for anything in return.. to anybody experiencing that kind of treatment, don't be afraid to lodge a complaint to the management, provided, you can support your allegations..

By Alumnar• 4 May 2010 21:01

... and ignorant people who will not accept that they failed because they actually need to know how to drive!!!

mjamille, are you doing your lessons? My nanny had her test today, failed but she knows and accepts why and knows it is her fault - instead of blaming it on anybody they can think about!!!

Learn your road signs, learn how to drive first.

If anybody tries to get money from you, go to the management and report them! That's what they are there for!!! Then action can be taken!

As for Meann working in HR - so what??? Is that a problem??? She is surely a competent and decent person who I have all the pleasure to know. And if you are so sure she works in HR - tell your dear friend to report those instructors who are asking for money to Meann. She can deal with that situation better than listening to you whining on a public forum!

Don't trust her words. My friend tole me that she works in HR department of Al Khebra driving school. The Al Khebra driving school was only able to cheat trainers. One of my friends has a training class there. The teachers there only ask for money. And the manager and staff there are all rude. If you have paid for the training fee, they look you as a beast. They shout at you and are not responsible for your driving license. Lots of people failed and left there. So don't trust this guy and don't trust Al Khebra.

Al Khebra is a very professional school and I can only (once again) praise the attitude of the instructor who is at the moment teaching my nanny and preparing her to pass the driving test. And thank you to Meann for the dedication to the school and answering the online questions - do you know of any other school who does that?

By asking for his contact details, there will be better understanding between clients & our side. Conversation whether though phone or personal is the easiest form of communication in which both parties can interact.

It is a part of our customer service to contact personally any interested parties and show their importance by giving them all the informations they need.

Hope u understand my concern.

Sorry for the late reply.

About ur query, the remaining days will not be refunded ... taking test on the 2oth day is only an option (ur choice) since most of the students are after their license.

a full course is 40 days with an option for the student to take a first try on the test on the 20th day, right. If the student pass and get the license, what happened to the remaining 20 days?

You are doing a great job. It is easy to attack hiding behind a username on this forum. If the poster complaining has nothing to hide he sure will have no problem giving his contact number out over private message. I have recommended this driving school to several people, including colleagues of my husband, who were satisfied customers. If the instructors get greedy it is not the fault of the driving school, they get paid what was agreed in the contract - take it or leave the job to somebody else! If one person rewards the instructor financially it does not mean they can assume every customer will do so.

Since u dont have a license yet, u will have to take the full course for 40 days. (1 hr/day except friday). For the full course, u can take up to 5 test chances.

U have many options for the training:

- should u want to take the test after ur 20th days of training, u can do so. If you pass, then u can get ur license.

- If u fail on the 1st test, then u can continue with ur remaining training hours till u r ready for the next test & so on.

If u have other questions, just let me know. U can give me ur contact details so i can explain further.

Thank you for your interest in our company.

I will not blam any one ,I think there is some misunderstanding which made him unsatisfied ,but from AlKhebra Managment I did not expect such comments ,they shoy provide some solution

I did not see any mature answere from the AlKhebra Management like

-Give proper contact details whom should a student contact for such issue

-If some one is paying for Driving school there should be some standard rules for each school ....

I am not sure but why Al-Khebra does not provide any printed rules and regulations ( as per there experince with clients) which also should mention everything including the number of test etc etc...

In that way it will be more professional ,,,,Management of Al-Khebra Driving school ...Why do not you join Management school to take some lession or license..???

I got my driving license in Karwa Driving school, but I have to pay my own. But it's ok since I satisfied with this school with clear rules and also there is a tests before you entering the course, whether you should take 12 hours, 25 hours or 40 hours class. It's fair and I was lucky last week I passed the test in Karwa. I'm happy with this school. I recommend for all new comer in Doha..

but i am not really arguing with him, its just that i am trying to explain that there are some agreements between company & our Management that he might not be aware of. So before he can make any judgement, he should have consulted it with them, as we are just following the MOA signed and agreed by both parties ...

Why dont u talked to ur company 1st before making bad comments & try to check the MOA that ur company signed with us ... we only follow the instructions of your company as per the Agreement between ur Company & our Management...

Silence will not solve any problem. We cannot solve any problem by saying bad things about the Company.

How can AL-khebra give me only one chance test for 40 hours courses.. Some instructors said for 12 hours you have 2 times chances. Many of my friends they have the same issues, but they were silent. cos it's only my company suffering for course charge..

If you go to alkhebra from a company you have to know the rules there before come in to the course otherwise, alkhebra will cheat you badly...

May I ask which Company are you working with or you may call me direct so I can explain to you the details and we can resolve your problem.
