the above answer's are right but some season is there to get accommodation easily. like now its very hard to get but when the school vacation comes its will be very easy to get one atleast for a month
As said above, BUDGET really plays a pivotal role in finding accommodation in DOHA..
I've suffered the same problem last month while finding a decent flat..Finally i had to let go off my plan to shift..
I will decide once the rates will go down a little bit..(finger crossed!)

I agree to above comments. but one clarification, by keeping the demand and high rent of existing units, how would they manage the cost of new units they already built ?

The answer is obvious. If you rented all the buildings that were available (i.e. increased supply) the demand would go down and so would the price that you could ask. Economics 0001.
its not difficult if you got a good budget.
