I bought 1 40" LCD TV New and i would like to take to my home, anybody can tell me whether i can take that in checkin baggage with company packing of 20KG, they will allow or they will not?
There' are standard dimensions for max. checin paggage size. for some route/ e.g. trans atlantic; there is piece concept as well.
However, in your case you better check with airline baggage policy, and you'll always find a counter with "Over size baggage" written on top of it at any airport. You just need to go to them alteast 6-8 hours before your flight to get your package onboard on time.
I think, your TV would be considered as CARGO, they will charge you good, per kg, PLUS i guess you might face a custome duty imposed, when you reach home.
so be prapred for money talk as well; size/checkin should be your least concern

That will depend upon the policies of the airliner in regards with check inn luggage and allowed weights. Better if you contact the airline and ask them directly.
Regards!!
PS: do not forget to ask about taxes to be paid upon arrival to your country since that could be the case.

Depends upon the airline. I've seen a 32" LCD checked in at Emirates. If not, use the large luggage checkin counter.
qsnetra2010..you mean 1 lcd of any size?
in Philippines 1 lcd is allowed for those working as OFW tax free.
For checking Baggage there are 2 restrictions: 1) Weight 2) size
You are not supposed to carry more than 8 KG in hand plus the size are specified by airline.
But you can carry 40' LCD and submit to fragile luggage counter at Airport.
