Doha, September 20 (QNA) - Wednesday, the first of October, will be the first day of of Eid Al Fitr for this year, said Qatari astronomer Dr. Abdullah Turki Al- Subaie. Al -Subaie said in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) today the crescent (Hilal) of Shawal will be born on Monday, Ramadan 29 at 11,12:am Doha Local Time. The crescent will not be seen on Monday (29th September) as the moon will set before the sunset. Accordingly, Ramadan will be completed, so Eid al Fitr will be on October 1, Dr. Al-Subaie added.
