Will the police seriously handle the criminal case committed to non-qatari?
I lost 2 of my quad bikes almost 3 weeks ago from inside my home (locked backyard). The case was reported directly to the authority (police) and it was filed.

Up to date, I did not have any clue / news about those lost bikes (considering Qatar is not a big size country, it should not be that difficult to find this kind of vehicles). Some of friends told me that the authority will not take it as a serious case if it is not happened to locals. I am not really sure with their statement, as I know that Qatari police is professional & mostly they solved all reported problem.
But to be honest, this statement really annoying me, so I would like to get other's view, either the police will seriously handle the criminal case commited to non-qatari? Do anyone of you having any similar experience? and how is the ending?
Thanks Sami, Ill try to approach them again tomorrow.
Any tips how to deal with them?
Dear Zaen, my advise is to follow up with the polic,in case they are not serious about your case, when they realize that you are following up with them, defenitley they will take it serious;y being afraid of their reputation.....trust me it works
well, surprising to hear a "WHITE WESTERN LADY" has suffered racist attack. ha ha
cuteydog, are they nice & very helpful because u r a nice white-western-young-lady (sorry) or is it for everybody?
a UK policeman friend told me that when he started in the detective branch every day a load of new cases hit his desk. His senior partner sorted thru these and graded them by whether they could be solved easily, the rest were put aside and in most cases never solved! Probably the same with police here, over demand for services, and they will try their best. Maybe more so for a Qatari victim but still mindful that they can waste hours on a case with no possibility of success except luck in solving them.
My own experience of Qatar police has thankfully been small, someone crashed a stolen car into mine, people in Qatari Dress, police came and dusted for fingerprints etc. but no result! Probably would be the same in UK, if there is no clear evidence what can be done?
I'll always be grateful to the Qatari police who towed me off the road when my car broke down and who stopped to help change a tyre in the high Summer. Overall a thank you to the police in Qatar from me.
God with you!
